Right after we purchased the year pass to the State Beach it has rained pretty much non-stop.. we even tried going yesturday and the moment we stepped onto the sand it started to thunder.. we were beginning to think that it was fate telling us what fools we were to spend that much money on a pass on the rainest year on record.. THEN.. today we had a great day at the beach!! it was so nice.. the water was a little cold but the sun was out and the kids had a blast swimming and playing in the sand. Tomorrow is supose to be good too so we'll see about going again tomorrow..
we are keeping our fingers crossed that all is not lost and there will be many more nice days this summer to go..
think SUN!!

Happy Birthday Bradley!
My boy is 10 it's unbelieveable! his actual birthday was Monday and we discovered he's getting old enough that he really wants to pick out his presants.. so he got to go pick out his gifts and last night he had his best friend Derek spend the night.

Today they went Bowling but most of the bowling alley's here are Candlestick bowling, it's actually really fun it's a ball about the size of a shot put ball (not quite as heavy though) and the pin's are what they call candlestick pin's they are much more narrow but i think a little bit easier to knock down..
it was a fun day we tried to go to the Beach but as soon as we stepped foot on the sand it started to thunder and rain so we only got about 20 min playing on the sand..
I think Brad had a nice Birthday; Sunday will be his birthday dinner and cake.. (Dad has had to work nights all week so that's why there is a delay w/ the cake!)
have a great day!

Re-introducing:
TaaDaaa.. Introducing our cat Spike! i say re-introducing because we just picked him up from the vet and he was neutured and de-clawed so he'll be a nice kitty and not ruine our furniture.. Ben predicts he'll get to be a fat lazy kitty now and frankley that's ok w/ me!!
He had to spend 3 days at the Vet bedcause he had his surgery on Friday and they are closed on Sunday; he's still pretty grogy and is on anti-biotics but i think it's all worth it.. By the way the cat was sleeping in this position when i shot this pic.. the flash didn't even faze him.. don't you wish you could sleep in that positon..
have a great day..

have you ever made a purchase that you questioned as you were doing and then later said "that was the Best thing ever!".. well yesturday we went to the beach (this is the last week they aren't charging to get in) and as i was sitting there watching the kids play i decided i would just bite the bullet and buy a family pass.. i'm so glad i did it!! we will have a blast and we can go anytime we want and because we have a pass we can just come and go and not feel like we have to spend the whole day just to get our money's worth.. (it cost's about $13.00 for all of us to get in) we have to go 8 times for the money to be worth it so i think that's a no brainer! as long as the weather holds out we'll go several times a week..
here's to a great summer!

Ok so i'm totally willing to admit that i'm worlds worst mom! I am so happy that BASEBALL IS FINALLY OVER!!! is it aweful for a mom to feel like watching her great sons play is like watching paint dry?? Now the real kicker: they love it!!! it's good i'm glad they love baseball and i'm told it will get better when they get a little bit older but for now i am doomed to slow moving games.. we are doing nothing as far as team sports for the summer... YEA!... but then it's soccer time at the end of Aug.. i think i'm going to try to get the boys on the same team.. they do 2 year incroments in this league so i think the'll let me.. i don't remember it being so bad in years past w/ both boys on different teams but w/ all the driving we have to do here it's killing me!..
we are hanging out at the beach tomorrow! everyone cross your fingers for good weather!
have a fun day!
Joseph Smith Memorial in Sharon VT. it was very interesting and very pretty grounds here's also a pic of Uncle Jeff w/ all the kid's.. it was fun to go on their last day here..
This is Aunt Michelle doing KayLea's hair, KayLea just fell in Love w/ Michelle (and who wouldn't!) she was her shadow for the whole week they were here and when Mommy couldn't get her to do something w/ her hair she'd let Aunt Michelle do it!.. it was really fun getting to know Michelle allot better we are sure glad she's a part of our family!
Well, that's the wild week we've just had.. it was fun, and i'm sure we all are going to sleep for a while! we'll all have to do it again when there's snow! we love you all and miss all who couldn't make it this time!

Baptism Day: Hunter's Baptism was a great morning, he was a little nervous but did great, the water in the Font was really cold so Hunter was having a hard time getting all the way under the water so he had to be dunked 4 times but the 4th time was the charm.. He and Dad did great.. it was a fun day.. after the baptism we had a picnic at home then went to the Beach, it was kinda busy but we found a great spot on the grass (we guess you have go get there early to get a good spot on the sand)... it was fun! and now we know we deffenately want to get a season pass and do the Beach a couple of times a week..

Here's our trip to Boston, the Boys putting a toe in the Atlantic Ocean.. Brad, Hunter and Uncle Jody testing out the sleeping arrangements on the USS Constution and Grandpa Budd and the boys on the battle ship. Ohh we can't forget Sailor KayLea doing something more up her alley trying on the sailor clothes! we had a blast in Boston, there is still lots more for us to see on future trips.. it was lots of fun!!

Today was field day for the boys and i was running late and in such a hurry to get out of the house i forgot my camera (i know mortal sin!!) so sence Brad hasn't been posted yet i thought i'd at least get him on this thing..
the boys last day of school is tomorrow.. i will now have a 5th grader and a 3rd grader.. i still have KayLea at home so i can still claim i have little kids but that time will soon be ending i'm sure.. w/ KayLea having a late birthday she has 2 more school years before Kindergarten and so she has one more year until pre-school..
the boys did great today i was in charge of their group (they mixed the kids up so there were equal parts older/younger kids) and they had a blast and even got to do the tug-o-war just them against each other.. Hunter won..
anyway a fun week awaits us will post more when more happens.. happy summer everyone!
