YES, you have it... now you have to wait at least a month for relief...Well, Ben got the results today from his sleep study... he HAS sleep apnea one of the most severe cases so the Dr. says... he put a scope down his nose and took a good look at his HUGE tonsels and said he needs the C-Pap machine first but that if he wants relief permanately surgery is down the road, the Surgery is pretty greusom, they shave down his nose (he has a deviated symptom too) then take half of your soft palet out (including your little punching bag) along with your tonsels and agnoids... then in a seperate surgery they put a screw up into your chin/jaw bone and suspend his toung with some surgical wire, so that doesn't block the new and improved palet.. needless to say Ben is going to do everything in his power to make the machine work even if he has to use it for the rest of his life!... the bad news (i guess more bad news) is that he has to go to the sleep center AGAIN so they can fit him with a mask and machine that is right for him and see how he sleeps with it... THEN he'll get an appointment with a pulmonologist to actually get his machine... Ben did not enjoy his first sleep study, felt he didn't really get any kind of good sleep hooked up to all the wires etc, so he's not so much looking forward to another one... so i guess the good news is that he finally knows he has Sleep Apnea now he gets to hurry up and wait until he sees some relief...
we raised our flex. spending acct this year to help cover the dental bills for him and Bradley (Braces or at least a retainer are in Brad's future, fun stuff hua!) this year i guess i'm glad we did hoepfully we'll be able to squeeze dental and sleep apnea c-pap machine out if it too!!..
i'm trying hard to count our blessings which are plenty and i'm glad we do finally have an answer to Ben's Sleep issues he's had since we've been married!!!
Don't ya love life!!!
