Pinewood Derby
Last night was pinewood Derby... both boys did pretty good.. they came in 7th and 8th out of 16 total, i think it was a good thing that they both came in so close to each other.. our biggest fear was that one would do much much better than the other... but they had a good time, Hunter is already stratagizing over what he'll do next year and Brad is a little sad i think that it was his last one!!! it was a fun night!!

The proud dad w/ his boys!

one of the heats both boys raced in (one on each end)
Spring Cleaning!!!
Today the sun was out and it got to a whopping 55 degrees.. most of the Snow is gone except for a few piles of ice/snow that the sun doesn't hit directly... so today was Fox Family Clean UP day... everything that has appeared from under the snow, trash etc that has gone over looked because it was covered in 2 feet of snow... KayLea decided she wanted to help daddy... He was trying to get the snow off the shrub in the front KayLea just started hacking at the pile of ice by our front path... everything looks so good now and it's actually suppose to snow tomorrow night!!! URRGGGGGG!!! (it's not suppose to stick for long though)...

We are thrilled for the both of them!!! Congrads Sam and Mary Ann!!! ok it's not that great of a copy (my scanner is on the fritz so i had to take a picture of it) but i just had to share cute SAMMY when he was just barly 10 years old all dressed up at our wedding... of coarse the two big guys standing next to him are Matt and Ben... sniff, sniff, he was so cute!!!

Our Little friends have come back to play...
Ok, our back door has kind of a weather lock where it has this little room before the REAL back door.. it's kind of a tiny mud room i guess, well, we don't really use it for a Mud Room we use it to put bagged trash in the winter before Ben takes it up to the dump (yes we live so much in the woods that we don't have garbage service we have to take it up to the dump)... anyway In the summer we use the trash cans but in the winter they get even a tiny bit of moisture at the bottom and it freezes and well it's just not good...
so my point.. i'm on the computer this morning and i see one of our furry little squerels out there eye balling the door so i get out the camera and take a pic.. then i realize he's the LOOK OUT!!! there was another squeral in the little trash room!!!!! i go scare them off and luckely they hadn't gotten time to tear into the trash yet!!! the door is a tricky door to shut espically after it snows because it doesn't have much of a threshold and so when there is snow building up from the bottom it doesn't want to shut!!! well i had to get out a shovel and make sure it shut now!!!
maybe this means spring is really coming!!! we are hearing tons of birds too...

the bugger look out

this isn't a very good one (they both were taken from inside a window) but you can kind of see the squerel making it's get away...

YES, you have it... now you have to wait at least a month for relief...

Well, Ben got the results today from his sleep study... he HAS sleep apnea one of the most severe cases so the Dr. says... he put a scope down his nose and took a good look at his HUGE tonsels and said he needs the C-Pap machine first but that if he wants relief permanately surgery is down the road, the Surgery is pretty greusom, they shave down his nose (he has a deviated symptom too) then take half of your soft palet out (including your little punching bag) along with your tonsels and agnoids... then in a seperate surgery they put a screw up into your chin/jaw bone and suspend his toung with some surgical wire, so that doesn't block the new and improved palet.. needless to say Ben is going to do everything in his power to make the machine work even if he has to use it for the rest of his life!... the bad news (i guess more bad news) is that he has to go to the sleep center AGAIN so they can fit him with a mask and machine that is right for him and see how he sleeps with it... THEN he'll get an appointment with a pulmonologist to actually get his machine... Ben did not enjoy his first sleep study, felt he didn't really get any kind of good sleep hooked up to all the wires etc, so he's not so much looking forward to another one... so i guess the good news is that he finally knows he has Sleep Apnea now he gets to hurry up and wait until he sees some relief...
we raised our flex. spending acct this year to help cover the dental bills for him and Bradley (Braces or at least a retainer are in Brad's future, fun stuff hua!) this year i guess i'm glad we did hoepfully we'll be able to squeeze dental and sleep apnea c-pap machine out if it too!!..
i'm trying hard to count our blessings which are plenty and i'm glad we do finally have an answer to Ben's Sleep issues he's had since we've been married!!!
Don't ya love life!!!

Pinewood Derby Time!!!

Last night the boys cut out their cars and now we have the task of painting and drilling holes for the weights etc... this will be the first and last pinewood derby that both boys will participate in the same race... Brad turns 11 and moves up from Cub Scouts to Boy scouts and they don't do the derby... Anyway they both are very into their design and have great ideas about painting etc...

i'll have more pictures as the process continues and of coarse of the race on the 30th of this month...

Ok I think ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

this is the path from our cars to the house, of coarse it still had a good 10 or so inches that was still on the ground before it started snowing again this morning.. according to the weather service we have gotten about 12 inches so far and it's still snowing (it was suppose to be done by now.)... we have been in a blizzard warning for most of the day... Poor Ben, our snow plower was a little late to the party, and Ben couldn't get in our parking lot so he had to park next door at the hotel and hike home, he was wading in snow up to his waist to get to the front door.. well another little funny (ok not so funny but now i can giggle) as soon as he started his journey (it's really not that far but it's all up hill) the plow guy came... so Ben wasn't so happy when he realized this prediciment... he decided to continue to the door and i drove him next door to get his truck...

here are some more pic's

This is the snow level on our downstairs window

this is how much was on top of my car AFTER i drove it to get Ben's truck (yes i should have taken the pic before we left but we wern't really thinking of pictures at that moment
