snow days

So this week we've had more snow days than school but it's made for GREAT ski/snowboard Thursdays!! here are some pic's of the kids most of these were taken yesterday (brads were taken last week but you'd never know if I didn't tell ya!)

Hunter

KayLea is doing great her instructor says she's in the top of her level 3 class! I was playing with filters so that's why it's "soft" looking

KayLea with a friends son, they are best buds and can't wait to ski/snowboard together after their lessons; another play with filter this one is suppose to look kind of "pop art" ish...

Hunter was so excited he didn't have to take lessons this year so he just gets to free ski the whole time yea for him!!! thank heavens for cell phones and a mountain that I can get a hold of him at any time!!

Brad was somewhat reluctant to get on a slope that I could get his picture (there aren't many) but he did it for his momma!! he is such a good boy!

here is the snowboard stud!

we survived 28 inches of snow!

I know I should have taken a picture before the kids took care of the snow that was against the slider..it was really high!

you can get a better idea of how much snow fell today by how high it is on the bbq

and yes we had to shovel a path for Rowdy to do his business.. he didn't like it at first but he seems to be rolling with it for now...
so today was the first snow day of the season.. normally I dread these days.. the kids fight and are board etc. etc. BUT today (for the first time I think) they all did pretty good.. they did chores and played video games and played outside.. got along for the most part.. it was a good day...
thankfully it's stopped snowing and there will be school tomorrow.. skiing again tomorrow too so bonus!
so aren't you glad you don't live in the Arctic tundra?

Christmas wrap up

so I'm putting in ALLOT of pictures so I've made them small if you want to see bigger click on the picture
Christmas Eve PJ's

posing in front of the tree before going to bed!

Christmas Morning

Tree before mayhem ensued.. why is it the older the kids get the fewer presents are under the tree.. and why isn't it any less expensive.. in fact why is it MORE expensive???

a tradition pass down from my family.. all the kids have to lay in our bed while Dad goes and sees if Santa came... kinda fun esp. since they all are getting so big.. imagine 6 kids doing this when I was growing up..

Brad's "big present" was a new cell phone

Hunter got lots of little stuff this year.. ski poles, goggles (pictured here) a cell phone, a x-box game etc. etc. the list goes on...

Its not pictured here but KayLea's "big" present was a DSI gameboy system.. she's very happy to be able to listen to Taylor Swift now AND play games yippee

at Grandma and Grandpa Lane's
we left for Grandma and Grandpas Christmas afternoon.. it's a good thing we left when we did because a huge snow storm came that night and closed down the airport for a day!

giving Hunter some pointers

Uncle Jeff calling some plays

KayLea can fly??? yep w/Uncle Jeff!

he even got Brad to think about playing some Football!
the other GREAT thing we got to do is FINALLY meet Cousin JACKSON!!! he didn't disappoint! all the kids had a blast keeping him entertained but KAYLEA really loved that Jackson would follow her around everywhere.. he even told her one morning "KayLea your cute!" adorable right??!!! so now that we know him there is no keeping us apart!!!

Grandma Cathy reading to Jackson one bed time...
All in all it was a Great CHRISTMAS!!! we had a great time!!!
