New Spring Looks!!

KayLea has been bugging me for ages to cut her hair, it's been getting harder and harder to brush through so much so she dreads the brush.. so we finally did it.. Bradley on the other hand has wanted his hair cut but couldn't decide weather or not he just wanted to clean up his shaggy hair do (see easter pic's below) or shave it all off.. i tried to give him a bowl cut and failed miserably so he decided to just get it buzzed.. i think i cut off 2 pounds of hair and discovered BRAD DOES HAVE EARS!!... this kid was cursed with his mother's hair.. tons of it and so thick!! Hunter is next he wants a buzz too but always seems to look like the pediatric cancer patient so i'm trying to talk him out of it.. we'll see.. it has been a beautiful couple of days here.. not a lick of snow in site (i'm not complaining!) Thursday morning we take off to Texas (YEEEHAA!!) i can't wait.. we are going to see friends we havn't seen in 3 years... I'll post a picture of Hunter's hair cut if we figure out what he wants..

HIPPEEEEEEEEEE School is in Session TODAY!!!!! I'm doing a happy dance!!! next week is spring break.... oh yea.... hehe... isn't life fun!!!

of a 3rd YES count them 3 snow days in a row.. when actually they aren't snow days at all... they are FLOOD DAYS... almost half of the roads in our school district are un-usable... so if busses can't accomidate school is closed.. i have to say there are allot of homes with out power so that is probably a huge factor as well. Hopefully tomorrow the Library will be open so we can at least get out of the house! it is getting old.. Ben asked today if i'm so tired of 3 snow days what am i going to do in the summer.. here's the difference.. i know that there is no school every day during the summer.. we get into a routine, we know what is expected etc.. when we don't know from day to day weather or not there is going to be school it throws everything off.. KayLea is miserable because her routine is completely wrecked the boys are bent because they feel like if they are home they should be able to rule the TV or what ever else and the biggie.. when the weather is crappy i can't just sent the kids outside to run play etc... today it finally stopped the wintery mix (snow/sleet/rain) so the kids begged to go outside.. they did and lasted about 20 minutes and came in completely soaked through winter jackets, snow pants boots etc.. it was a muddy mess!!! but i'm glad they got to go out side even just for a bit!!!..
I'm grateful though that even though we are having a very minor water in our basement issue we aren't flooded, Ben can still get to work (there are many, many homes who are trapped because there is no outlet from their homes) and fingers crossed the water issue for us will be cured tomorrow (happy day!!!)... so i have many many things to be thankful for i just need to remember them more than my frustration over snow/flood days...
we will survive this i know this for sure!

Wow i think spring has skipped New Hampshire
Well i had anticipated having another snow day today but we got a reprieve we only have a 2 hour delay YEA!!! the snow turned into rain about midnight and so now it's just a muddy slushy mess outside but it did get rid of allot of the heavy snow that was making all the trees lean down so low... the winds are pretty hard and it is suppose to snow again this afternoon but i'm not sure that will happen this band turned into rain allot sooner than they had predicted so we are pretty high up so i'm not too worried about flooding but the high school was closed today due to flooding... so is the snowy, rainy days of our lives!!!
i can't say i'm disopinted that there isn't nearly as much snow as predicted... we'll get through this i'm sure!!!

EDIT: we ended up having school cancelled at the last possiable moment.. due to flooding and high chance of freezing rain and snow later in afternoon... the boys had already gone out to the bus and so they called everyone and i had thought the bus had already come (thought i heard it but it must have been a truck or something)... anyway i called the boys in and also realized it was raining so hard... they were soaked through so now they are changed into dry clothes and i'm making hot cocoa... all is well...

We woke up bright and early because we have early church so i told the kids we could wake up a few minutes before 6 (we have to leave the house by 8 to get to church on time)... they took me up on it all right i heard a thundering pounding coming down the stairs at 5:50am... i couldn't really say no because it was me who said we could get up at that time... anyway because we still have about 6 inches of snow on the ground we had to everything inside... so the Bunny hid the plastic eggs all over the down stairs.. the kids had fun finding their eggs in their coat pockets etc... then we got ready for Church and put on our heavy winter coats over our pretty spring clothes... fun!

I have to say now that my kids are getting older coloring eggs isn't nearly the ordeal it use to be... and it takes like no time at all... Daddy even got into the fun

Snow day in APRIL????

Yep! today is the 2nd snow day of the year (just when we thought we'd be done with them with only one under our belts!)

Yesturday the boys had a fun filled morning with a minor BUS ACCIDENT... the Bus got caught in a ditch and the kids had to get out via the emergency door at the end of the bus they were all gitty with excietment and i'm not sure they got any work done at all because it was the morning bus and they seemed just as excited to relay to me the story when they got home in the afternoon... I'm trying hard not to go nuts on the Bus Company, they didn't notify any parents but there were no injuries and although the tale from Hunter was quite horific (he tells the story that the Bus tipped on it's side) thankfully i have my pragmatic son Brad to say, it didn't tip on it's side it only was a little off balance because one side was in the ditch and the other side was still on the road... they had to use the emergency door because the door side was in the ditch and the door wouldn't open completely because of the mud/snow etc...

so this my friends is why there are snowday's and snow delay's... for the transportation issue...

but today i have to say the landscape i see today is why i have a bi=polar relationship with snow.. it is so pretty!!! until we have to dig out... the kids aren't too upset over the snow it is very wet dence snow so it's perfect for sledding and snow ball making...

we are going to let the sun come out (they say it will) and then we'll load everyone up to go to Concord i have to get some food shopping done and since we have ALL the kids we'll make a day of it in Concord.. do the Mall or something ...(guess i'll have to wait to do my Easter shopping now)...

anyway here are some more pic's, i tried to remember what i took yesturday and take some of the same so y'all could see the difference but not too sure how i did...

Spring???? NOT!!!

We woke up this morning to what we thought was just a little freezing rain.. i suppose we should be grateful that it wasn't freezing rain which causes lots more problems but we had SNOW!!! it's suppose to snow pretty much all day and we can get up to 10 inches!!!!! URGGGGG!!!!! although i have to say since we got kind of a break i'm not too upset other than it caused great comotion this morning having to find everyone's winter stuff that had been put up for the last 2 weeks..

we will survive!!!
