did everyone see Jack this morning did ya.. did ya??
well if your like me and a complete act of fate happened and we actually got a thunderstorm right at the moment he was on and my internet wasn't working not to mention that we just got a new modem and it decided at that exact moment to expire my password (that by the way i had no clue would expire at all!!) so i was frantic on the phone with verizon tech service and when i finally got it done it was 7:00 i had it in my mind that i had until 9 but DUAH! today show starts at 7 so obviously there local stuff had to be done by then.. well i did some more hunting and i found the clips of him... he did a great job!!! here's the link but there are some instructions..

go to the 5:00 hour and then click on the low quality/free preview clips then when it comes up put in minutes 55-58 for his first interview.. (it will only show 4 minutes at a time)
then go to the 6:00 hour and put in minutes 19-21 and do it again for 54-58.. looks like it's going to be a huge success... and yes i think Jack is going to get some grief from his friends and family about his mad geniess comments.. (although we all know he REALLY IS!!) only bummer is Sarah was actually WORKING and covering something very imortant like a robery or something.. *tisk* but if you want to see her you can click on various news stories and she is GOOD!!!
thats all for now!!!

OK I'm saying it... FALL SUCKS!!!
Fall is usually my most favorite season of them all!!! but yesturday the first day of fall brought with it a pretty windy day, a layer of polen on my newly washed car and with that ALLERGIES!!! i did fine through the spring but i think because everything is so dry the wind just brought everything up and my head feels like it's going to explode!!! not to mention the oh so pretty RED RAW nose i am displaying or the roll of toilet paper i must have on my person at all times...
i did see some pretty red leaf's on the way to church yesturday so ghats good.. but if we don't get some rain everything is just going to die with out any pretty colors.. we were at a high fire warning yesturday, don't think i've ever seen that before but we just need some rain pronto...
everyone is speculating on "what this means" for winter.. i dont know if i buy into any of the mombo-jumbo but i just need som rain or the wind to stop or something so these darn pollen things GO AWAY!!!
ok i'm obviously cranky and dulled due to sinus/allergy meds.. hopefully i'll post again this week with pretty fall pictures.. we'll see!!!

Our life as we know it..
Well, Soccer is in full blow, Brad and Hunter both had great games today... Hunter's team got a butt whippin pretty fierce; he's got a pretty young team and allot of them have never played before so i think he's a little frustrated but we keep telling him it's important for him to be a good example to the younger boys.. but we lost count at 8-0.. Brad's team won and Brad got his 2nd goal EVER! (he got his 1st goal ever last year) he did an awesome job and really shined in the 2nd half.. he's kind of new at playing forward and he is shinning!!!

KayLea isn't playing quite yet, but she has a blast with this little boy Malcum (he's the cute blonde boy in the pic with all the kids) they have so much fun at Brad's practices (he's got a brother on Brad's team).. they are great friends!! it's very cute!
now for the weather.. Brad's game (which is not pictured today.. Brad's picture is from last week's game) it was cloudy and rainey and VERY COLD at Brad's game at Noon, come 3:00 for Hunter's game the sun came out so all of us who were sweatered down were roasting.. it's suppose to get down to 30 degrees tonight!!! Time to fill the Oil tank!!! Not looking forward to that but i'm kind of looking forward to the cooler weather!!!
ta ta for now!!!

How did this happen??
Bradley brought home today this program for "talented" kids.. i was thinking.. he just started Band how on earth would they know if he was "talented" and he's coming out of his shell but he still is one of the quitest, shy-est kids out there.. NO Talented means "SMART"... he scored in the top 98th percentile on the the necap (state standardized test) last year and in the top 97 percent in a Reading test they gave just for this program.. it's sponsored by John Hopkins University and i guess it's their alternative to GATE program (which is non-existant here) ther is an info meeting about it next week but the gist of it is they have a few after school "cram sessons" then go to take some test which could qualify them for Summer camps etc (braniac summer camp i'm assuming, science camp etc.) He really wants to do it (i think because his best friend Mackie is going to do it) and he's also very motivated by being one of the "smart kids" so i guess it's a good thing.. my only trepidation is that Standardized tests always freaked me out that i worry it's too much pressure for him.. if he stays in the program through out middle school 7th and 8th graders take the SAT or ACT (not the PSAT, PACT the ACTUAL COLLEGE ENTRANCE EXAM) and it's not cheep.. it cost's 35$ to apply then 50 for the test.. of coarse i have no clue how much the camp's are if he does get "invited" to any of those..
I guess i'm trying to remember that He isn't ME.. I wouldn't say school is a cake walk for him, he does great because he works very hard, but it comes to him way easier than it did for me...
I guess this is just another great adventure!!.. he and i had some time in the car last night while Hunter was at practice, he's turning into a great kid... i'm very lucky!!!

Heart Broken!!!
Ok, so on our search to buy a home we have kind of taken a passave approach, we aren't searching the listings every day or in constant contact with our realtor etc.. but i saw this listing and the price is more than half of what things in the area are going for, i drove past it and it spoke to me, REALLY, my dream has been for well, i don't know from when but a long time, to convert a barn into a house.. this is usually not possiable because good old barns are usually not built as well as homes (because lets face it animals and hay don't need insulation or great building etc) so i know this and so my saying is usually when we make a million dollars we'll be able to do this.. anyway this house isn't really a barn but it has the most amazing barn attached to it and the house is red so it kind of speaks to my dream.. although even seeing it from the outside we knew it would need ALLOT of work, it was filled (we could see in some windows) with all sorts of junk, and the outside hadn't been mowed well pretty much forever.. well we saw the inside yesturday and it is just not doable.. it would need completely gutted to the studs and re done.. the upstairs (where 1 bath and 4 bedrooms are) were pretty much ready to fall down.. it had no heating system in it and the plumming and wiring wasn't even working.. not to mention that it was built in 1860's so it would have to be brought up to code. the owner is living in a huge bus next to the house (i know weird hua!) but i just LOVED the set up of this old house.. it had 5 living areas down stairs did i say it pretty much had no kitchen.. so yea dream squelched.. i even researched building home loans and i just think there is no way it is doable.. it would be more cost effective to build from scratch... BUT the barn, was AWESOME!!! i even had the slightest thought we could live in the barn while we remodeled the house (something Ben wasn't too keen on.... GEE wonder why??) I mean really it's amazing!!!
so bummer this dream squelched!!!

There should be a sign!
at Sam's Club: "Items in this store may be LARGER than they appear".. Ben and i both looked at this entertainment center.. we said "yea, that will fit fine!" "not a problem!" WRONG!!! although it's not really a problem, the thing is HUGE!!! it takes up the entire wall (we had hoped it would only take up 3/4's of it) .. we like it but it will take some getting use to.. I guess we'll have to start looking for a bigger house to put it in (hA!) I think i'm going to start having a tape measure in my purse (and a list of our house's dimentions) although we had to put this bad boy together so we didn't have the issue of moving it through door ways etc.. Ben had the thought "have you thought of how we are going to get it out of here when we ever move?? we'll have to take off the side shelf's.. (yes i though of it before ben said it haha)...

here's some pic's of the beast but it really doesn't do it justice!

Blueberry Blues!!!
OK, you all know we went blueberry picking had a great time and the blueberries were SO STINKING GOOD!!! I mean i'm not a huge berry girl but these things were so good i got addicted!! i mean for my bedtime snack i'd just get a cup full of frozen blueberries.. so i decided i'd go down at least one more time to pick and wouldn't you know it they got picked out early.. no more u-pick berries!!! so Mom told me she sees frozen berries at Sam's all the time so when i was grocery shopping i picked up 2, 3lb bags (and they were actually MORE per pound than what i paid for fresh at the upick place).. so i'm all excited i can have my blueberry snack like usual.. they are the GROSSEST things i've ever tasted.. frankley i'll take that back they had NO TASTE what so ever!!! i'm not sure if i'd feel this way if i hadn't had the great u-pick berries.. maybe this is just what i figured blueberries taste like but now that i've seen (tasted) what there is i guess i'm a blueberry snob now!!! so now i've got 2 big bags of frozen taste-less berries in my freezer.. i guess i'll make muffins or something else or the kids might eat them (the'll eat anything won't they?!!)..
Brad had his first Soccer game on tuesday night he played very well, they won 3-1 and the 1 was gotten right as the game was called over.. and so the season begins!!!
ta ta to you all!!
